A surprise email arrived last night about the story I shared last Friday.
When I shared Planes, Cranes, and Paper Folded Wishes last Friday I remember thinking, I don’t remember how this one turned out. I really thought it might place… Well, now I know why I didn’t remember — I hadn’t gotten the results yet!
Last night the results came in and I am moving to round two. The story ranked in the top ten in my group, so a new prompt and deadline will be coming my way this Friday.
The best part of this news for me, as a writer, is that the feedback for the story is on its way too. NYC Midnight does a great job of giving concise pros and cons for all of your stories, which have helped me hone my craft over the years. I have gotten honorable mentions in round two in the past, but have not yet gone in to round three, maybe this will be my story.
